D.O.N.E.™
The New Mexico Collaborative Practice Group (NMCPG) is looking for
divorcing couples to consider participation in our D.O.N.E.™ Pilot Program.
Since 2014, the NMCPG has been designing an abbreviated Collaborative
Divorce resolution model that is now in its testing phase.
While the program is in its testing phase, there is a $600 fee that covers
administrative costs. Professional services are being provided on a pro-bono
basis.
The program utilizes a full team of professionals: 2 Attorneys, a Neutral
Financial Specialist and a Neutral Mental Health Professional. Clients and
Professionals utilize the agreements and commitments of the Collaborative
Divorce process, modified for the D.O.N.E.™ divorce model. Professionals
are not engaged/retained by the clients until the Case Day. Attorneys are
assigned to each spouse randomly.
The D.O.N.E.™ divorce model is a 4-step process:
- Pre-Qualification (Questionnaire, Temporary Domestic Agreement,
Payment)
- Orientation (1-hour meeting with Case Manager and Clients)
- Data/Document Collection by Clients (90-day deadline)
- Case Day (full day meeting with Professionals and Clients)
- Case Day is a full day (8:00am – 5:00pm) with a 1-hour lunch break.
