During law school, Keely Simmonds clerked for the supervising family law judge at Los Angeles Superior Court, Stanley Mosk Courthouse. This clerkship gave her valuable insight into navigating the challenging practice of family law and the myriad ways engagement with the courts can impact a family. She also volunteered extensively with the Harriet Buhai Center, a family law non-profit in Los Angeles, where she worked closely with litigants and staff attorneys to help resolve complex family cases on issues including divorce, kinship guardianship, custody, and parental relocation. These experiences translate directly to an understanding of the many issues impacting families during the estate planning and probate process as well.
Since joining Santa Fe Law Group, Keely has immersed herself in the firm’s boutique practices, working directly with Morgan Honeycutt and Melanie MacGillivray on matters of family law, estate planning, and probate. Keely is delighted to assist Ms. Honeycutt and Ms. MacGillivray in their representation of clients and looks forward to developing her expertise and broadening her knowledge of these unique issues.
