Sarah M. Armstrong, Esq.

About Me

Sarah M. Armstrong is a native New Mexican who completed her bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico in Journalism & Mass Communication in 2001. After obtaining her law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., Sarah returned to Albuquerque and was sworn in as member of the New Mexico Bar in 2004. She practices state-wide in New Mexico exclusively in the areas of family law and domestic relations, including: divorce, custody, visitation, adoption, child support, spousal support and complex property division. Since then, she has completed more than 100 hours of training in alternative dispute resolution and has been formally trained in Collaborative Divorce since 2013. Sarah has been active in providing legal education to family law practitioners and is currently the chair-elect of the family law section of the State Bar of New Mexico.

Sarah believes that family law truly provides an opportunity to be of service and to find truly creative ways to solve problems. By adding training in mediation, settlement facilitation, and other areas of the law to a solid foundation in litigation, Sarah combines a variety of skills to counsel and advocates for her clients. Her goal is to help individuals and their families navigate the legal process in the most equitable and least damaging way possible.

Outside of work, Sarah spends as much time as possible with her family, including finding adventures to share with her two sons. She enjoys a good book and trying her best to garden.
