Stefanie has a law degree and a doctorate in history. Although Stefanie is licensed in the state of New Mexico, she practices only alternative dispute resolution methods and collaborative law. She has had over 400 hours of training in all sorts regarding substantive, ethical and methodological approaches/practices. Her background allows her to understand that if people can’t communicate, there will be strife, and she knows that facilitation of all kinds is more humane and humanistic than the traditional legal process.
Stefanie is solutions oriented, creative, collaborative where possible, she starts from what is working, she employs good listening skills and reflects back adequately so parties know they are being heard. Stefanie doesn’t ignore emotions – she recognizes and explores them rather than sees them as barriers or obstacles.
